This might work? Under you user directory there is a temp dir. In that should be
some files regarding Twain. Delete these files (just empty the directory for a good
cleanup) and twain should rebuild the files on a reboot. If not try to reinstall
the scanner drivers. This works with my Lide 500, which does this about every 6 months.
