I would re-partition and reformat to remove any instance of linux first, if it is 
giving you that much problem. 
There is a company that has made a really good linux machine. They are a leading 
manufacturer and build their machine with linux in mind from the get-go. I would 
go to them if I wanted a Linux machine. If I remember right the company is called 
Apple.
