Disk Management Console Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 3:23 pm Windows Vista Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Tom McCune (764 messages posted) On my Dell XPS 1640, I'm trying to use the Disk Management Console GUI to reduce the size of my C: drive, so that I can then create a new partition in the resulting empty space. It seems to be starting, but then stops with a message of "Access is denied." I have only one account, and it has admin privileges.
