When considering a false positive, I would error on the side of caution. Most AV
providers are part of a consortium that works quite closely, but that does n now
way mean that they are all the same. Different malware can show up by running different
AV's. You seem very sure about not getting this via E-Mail. If you can't even be
sure what it is haw can you be sure of where it came form. Also another place to
get a lot is photos on the WEB. This junk can be just about anywhere. The worst places
are the most innocent in appearance.
Possibly you have a good AV that detected the algorithm associated with the 'Key
logger' and not a registered virus. In that case you are fortunate to have caught
it. Now comes the research.
