I am already a month or so into the research. That is when I posted a thread on this
forum.
After researching a few issues, just a week back it looked as if the second firewall
that was turning on due to a known error in Vista was the cause. But then the keylogger
was detected after an 11 day gap. Kaspersky's tech support think it is a false positive,
however it is pursisting. HiJackThis displays that a part of Nortons remained. But
removing this with the Norton Removal tool did nothing.
What else in windows would give a false positive? If the object is at the kernel
level, is this too deep into windows for the other 6 malware packages to detect?
Because they do not detect anything. Only Kaspersky (KIS 2010) does. It is also a
possiblility that the update to Kaspersky has an error in it.
