I trust this is consistant...Attempting to reset or blank an admin psswrd on an newly
inherited Vista system, I'm unable to read or otherwise utilize any CD under the
guest user's profile (the only portal available...the admin psswrd in unknown). Whether
this was instituted by the orignal owner (a retired librarian) as a security measure,
I don't know. I'm aware of the many fixes involving an iso image burned to a bootable
disc, etc. But how can I even consider this being unable to read a CD, bootable or
otherwise? Ultimately, I may have to reformat and re-install an os (XP!), but even
this presents a challenge if I'm unable to acess and read from the CD drive.
