Thanks again for your response to my problem. I ran my computer in Safe Mode and
the problem does not occur. However, I rechecked the startup options in msconfig
and found that when I unchecked Adobe Acrobat the problem did not occur on reboot.
Apparently on the last upgrade of Adobe Acrobat something did not install properly.
