Office 2007 Uninstall/Reinstall Problems Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 12:04 am Windows Vista Annoyances Discussion Forum Posted by Jason (7 messages posted) I tried uninstalling Office 2007 through the "Programs and Features" window of the Control Panel so that I could reinstall only the features I needed (and reclaim some hard drive space). Not only did the uninstall fail but so did the reinstall (to repair the damage that I did) and I am unable to open any Word or Excel files. When I try to open Word or Excel I get a message stating "This update package could not be opened. Verify that the update package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer update package." HELP!!!
