To Steve:
The only option I have is to return the RAM which I will promptly do if it's the
problem. I need the space, hence the reason I bought a new hard drive. In hindsight,
I don't think I had trouble formatting the hard drive; just keeping the computer
running long enough. I formatted it fine in Safe Mode, and it's working fine now.
To Ricer46:
I'm trying the drive without the RAM right now, and it's been going fine for about
an hour now. I ask about the power supply because jbmcmillan said the power supply
may not be up to the task of running my GPU and 5 hard drives, as well as 8GB of
memory. When I returned to my original configuration (-4GB and -1 HD) everything
performed fine, so that seemed to me to be a very possible issue after everything
worked seamlessly in Safe Mode.
