If at all possible, make the connection's or change them when both TV and computer
are powered down. If they are powered up, you stand a good chance of blowing either
or both. I have seen it happen with monitors and computer systems, more with the
onboard/integrated video devices. Blow them and it means motherboard replacement,
or adding a vid card to an open slot. Neither were designed to really be "hot swapped"
and is a big part of the reason that KVM switches were developed for switching monitors/keyboards
and mice between systems. Good Luck! :-)
