I've had an ongoing issue with associating .wav files (Vista Business 32 bit)

Nomatter how many of these methods I try (including two third-party utilities) I CANNOT change the association of .wav files to  Cool Edit Pro 2 - despite it appearing in the list of possible programs I can assign it to - nor via the browsing directly to the executable AND ticking the "always use this program".

It ALWAYS opens Windows Media Player nomatter what I do.

One facility (Default Programs Editor)  did allow me to put a new right-click command in to  open CEPro, but I don't know what syntax to use to get it to open the right-clicked item, so it opens, but then you have to manually navigate all the way to the file anyway, losing most of the point of being able to double-click.
