Wireless PCI Card + Usb Adaptor not working!!!

Hello There,
I've got a Belkin F5D6001 PCI Wireless Card, which I have tried ALL possible drivers
for available, nothing works.
I get as far as installing all drivers and software, Vista sees the Pci card, but
the software cant see the Belkin Card, and the windows software cant see it either...It
is in Device Manager though (With an error: Windows cannot start device...Drivers
might be corrupted, or not installed)
So I thought, stuff it, I'll buy another one, so I bought a TP-Link Wireless USB
Adaptor, but getting the same issue!!
Anyone know of any fixes, or any wireless usb adaptors that actually works?
Thanks,
AJ

I've used two usb adapters with success, both were Airlink 101 cards, the first being
the AWLL 3026, which is a 802.11g card, the other being AWLL 4030 802.11 Super G,
both using the stand alone drivers available from the airlink 101 website http://www.airlink101.com/downloads/index.html
(listed as bare drivers for 3026 and bare brivers for 2000 and XP for the 4030).
I have had to reload the driver for each card a couple of times, when on start up
the adapter was not recognized. I'm running Dell Inspiron 2650 Laptop Pentium 4
M 1.7 GHZ with 512 MB of RAM and 16 MB Nvidia Gforce 2 Go.

Another adapter that works is the Airlink AWLH 4030 which is a pci card utilizing
the Atheros Super G Chipset. I use this one on my home test configuration, using
just the driverr and not the utility program provided. ..And no I don't work for
Airlink, they're just the cheapest cards available where I live.

I found another card that works with Vista: Realtek 8180, has drivers built in, there
is one problem/issue, when the system is booting up, the card can not be in, you
must wait for Windows to load, or the system will lock up. Other than that issue,
the card works fine.

Whatever you do, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE the wireless TP Link cards !!!
They are the most useless cards ever.... I bought one & found that in the 1st month
or so they work fine, after this they fail every 5 to 10 minutes !! So if you're
trying to download something it's hopeless !!
I'm a scripter so I wrote a script to disable & re-enable the wireless adapter every
hour or so, but even that's too long apart as 10 mins is usually the max it can last
!!
Avoid anything TP LINK !!
Cheers
(Rant Over!!)

My Microsoft MN-710 USB 2.0 wireless adapter installed and is running perfectly on
Vista RC1. Download the driver for it directly from the Microsoft.com webiste. Other
versions would not install because they were wizard versions but the original software
from Microsoft.com worked flawlessly. MSBNsoftware.exe the 12.7MB size.

Bob,
Do you have a link to where you found a 12.7mb version of msbnsoftware.exe? I have
searched all over the microsoft.com site and cannot find it anywhere. The closest
I can find is the 12.8mb version (which is a wizard version)

I could not find verifier under computer properties, but I did find it running in
task manager -> processes. Once I killed the process, the F5D6001 installed successfully
and so did my sound card, which Vista had warned previously would not. Thanks
