should i install vista? worth it or not stable?

hi everyone,
well i'm downloading windows vista now, i just wanted to ask a few questions before
making the big step and installing it.
is it stable? are there any problems with any programs that you use? about drivers
i know i have to change some so it's fine.
i checked and my pc will certainly work fine with vista, but are there any security
problems? i'm using the latest version of pc-cillin antivirus, does anyone knows
if it works fine?
the ones that use already vista..was it worth installing it? or here and there you
say damn this vista beta for coming up with some problems?
i love changing and updating my pc so i'm intrigued by vista..i even have my pc look
like vista style already ;-)

Its been very stable, Im very impressed so far. I've even got it on 2nd PC below
a few of the minimum requirements (graphics card and RAM) and its still running perfectly.
Only problems I've had was trying to run Nero 6.3 (had to go to compatability mode
to setup), my lexmark X1100 printer wouldnt install at all, logmein wouldnt install
no matter what and neither did incredimail.
Dont know about pc-cillin. I've got the etrust av software Microsoft gave a year
subscription to for all us who downloaded beta 2
Im very happy with it and plan on buying it come January.

and, does it have the media center or it's not included in the RC1 version?
oh yes, and do you know if the asian characters are displayed and if i can type in
japanese? (i type japanese everyday and with windows xp it's perfect, i hope in vista
too). thanks:-)

Ive heard that too, but I havent tried it. I would assume it works fine, as the
software is feature complete, just working out bugs.
There's actually a Japanese version of Vista for download, is that the one you're
downloading?

no i'm currently downloading the english version though i would prefer the italian
one (i'm italian) which is not available yet. i currently speak japanese but obviously
feel more confortable with english, just in the previous versions of windows there's
a tool called IME that allows users to type asian/arabic characters on a western
pc and i'm pretty sure it will be developed well in vista because the IME xp version
has not been updated since 2002.
the strange feeling i have is that an operating system has a considerable price and
microsoft is giving it for free until june 2007 which is almost a year, that's very
good but i was just wondering if it was stable enough to "risk" installing it.
from your reply and from some websites i've found everyone agreeing that it's very
stable, so i'm happy and looking forward to it.
at first i think i'll try it on my second hard-disk to be even safer:-)
