Pic and Video Thumbnails dont appear

Any answer would be appreciated :)

In XP, an open folder would attempt to turn all my many pictures and videos into
thumbnails anytime the folder was open. Vista, on the other hand, only shows thumbnails
when I scroll to the items. This is slow and irritating.

Is there any way to change this behavior?

Thanks!

Do you have the views option set for either large or x-large icons? Working just fine on all 3 Vista machines I have.

I usually have them on medium to large, never full blown extra large or below medium.

Got all mine set to large too....I'm running home premium through (on two pcs) Nvidia 128MB FX5200's and a GeForce 2 32MB card on the other. Hmm...I must admit to being stumped.
