I am SURPRISED to see that after I upgraded to Vista Home Premium my internet explorer is now in CHINESE character. What did I do wrong?? How should I go back to English alphabet.

Hi Lou,
try this:
- open ie
- select tools -> internet options
- click 'languages' button at the bottom of the options dialog
- if 'English' is in the list, select it and move it up; or add it and then make
sure it is at the top.
then ok, ok, exit and restart explorer.

I don't know that you did anything wrong - IE7 and Vista are a little screwy IMHO
 ;)

Simple . . . install a production-ready browser like Firefox or Opera instead of
the unstable freebie toy which comes with Vista.
