I just got my new Dell notebook with vista on it, but i'm finding that alot of my software and hardware is incompatible for time being. So I want to be able to have both XP and vista on system. Only thing is, I am not tech savvy at all. Can someone offer some really simple steps as to how i can install XP along with whats already on there (vista)? Hopefulle not overly complicated. I still have my XP installation disc from my old dell but i dont know if it will then install on another computer? Thanks for any help!

Making a Dual Boot Laptop would not be easy for you. You would need to see if the Laptop has XP Drivers, then if so Wipe out the Vista Install, and install XP, During the Install make 2 Partitions. Install XP on the First one. Then Install Vista on the Second Partition. If your Vista DVD is a System Restore Disk it won't work. You would need a MS Vista Install Disk.

If you get this far just use Google for more Details. Lots of Web sites already have dual Boot information.
