Apparently not, or not easily. There is another thread here about that subject. The options discussed so far boil down to:

-Switch the start menu to classic. -Force a classic logon. (Give your account a password and then use the policy editor to enable Interactive Logon:Do not display last user name.) (Why there isn't a switch to turn this on easily is beyond me).

But this does not get rid of the frame at log in and makes the menu ugly. This is truly an annoyance.

yeah it surely is, i would love to get rid of this stupid frame and picture
