Deleting photos/videos

The search function in Visat allows anyone to see my photos/videos. So I tried to delete the photos/videos but couldn't. I then deleted recently searched but couldn't get rid of the photos/videos. Finally I got rid of them somehow but the descriptions of the photos/videos remained. How do I get rid of everything?

I find ccleaner good for erasing tracks, but if i want to delete something pernamently i type run search hit .jpg look for ref to the pics i want deleted and delete. then would go back and replace .jpg with .bmp and do same again. Im sure there is an easier way, id like to know if there is.

See, what I found in my videos that I download, is that I searched for it and dragged the item onto my desktop twice. The first time is a shortcut, the second time its the actually file itself, so if I personally delete that, the finle is gone, but thats just me, but the problem seems similiar to what I had, thats how I got rid of it....permanetely.

Sorry, more to do with ccleaner - downloaded it and it worked for 2 weeks then 'ceased to function'. This also happens with other things I have downloaded -any ideas, bwhiz, what to do to stop this happening?

Hi Daney GORDON I've never had your problem so I'm sorry I honestly don't know the answer to your question. I would think Dan or Steve may do though? Suggest that you keep an ey on your post for other posts. I hope you find something soon. Regards Bwhiz

For problems using CCleaner, try posting at their forum. I believe registration is
mandatory, however, their services are free: -

EDIT: Personally, I use Eraser v5.84, which is Vista compatible.

Ensure that you Change the settings to the following. Edit > Preferences > Erasing
> Select #1 (Gutmann) > Ok.
