IE wont launch in Vista Ultimate

Hello
I have a pentium 4 dual 2core computer running vista ultimate. Suddenly IE wont
launch..I click on it and nothing happens..firefox runs fine.
Also at the same I have lost the copy and paste functions with files I cannot copy
a file to another direct or cut and paste it to another directory.
Any ideas?

charlesatlas, You click on IE and nothing happens, are you sure??
Is it running
under processes as Iexplore.exe
Does it work ok if you run it as administrator?
I
have no idea about your copy and paste problems but I think you should have listed
it separately.

IEuser.exe under my name

Is Iexplorer you default browser? If not select it as default (Control panel - Default
programs) and verify
in internet options control panel in progams tab if "tell me if internet explorer
is not... is checked.

explorer.exe is not IE....it's windows explorer. IE would show up as iexplore.exe
