Lately, I've emailed various files, including .jpg, .pdf, and .zip files with images
(.jpg, .doc)inside. This is in vista Ultimate. The files are almost always discolored,
usually half the image in a pink color. I have xp pro and vista dual booted, so
went to xp and sent a few files, and no more pink files. Any ideas? I hope it's
easy, because I use vista as my primary OS, xp for games and whatever doesn't work

No, they are .jpg images downloaded from camera or pdf or doc files imported then
sent via google mail or yahoo mail, always the same result. This didn't always happen,
must be from something else, an update or other prog running at the same time I'd
assume.

Culprit recognized...I hope. sent a few test emails to my self stopping processes.
When I stopped uTorrent, problem went away. Version 1.7 utorrent.
