Losing desktop icons from admin account when I delete them from standard user account

I setup a standard user account for my grandchildren who like to play games on my PC when they visit. Some of my administrator's account desktop icons appeared on their desktop automatically when I set up their account. All of my desktop icons didn't show up on their desktop but several security program icons did including Ad-Aware, ThreatFire, and Avast. Oddly, my iTunes icon appeared on their desktop too. I don't want the kids running or otherwise accessing the security programs so I deleted them from their desktop. But when I did that, they were also deleted from my admin account desktop. When I put them back on my admin desktop, they show up on the kids' desktop again. I would appreciate any suggestions on how to get around this. Thanks.

Some software will do that.
When you delete the icons, it will warn you that it will delete for all users.
