Question about 'Sort by Extension in Explorer'

I have a question about Sort
by Extension in Explorer:
It is simple in VISTA. Right-click and empty area in Explorer (NOT a file). Select
"Sort By" and at the bottom of the list select "More...".
You will be given a choice to sort in more ways than you can imagine (including "Type"
which is the way to sort by file extension).
After seleting it use the "Move Up" and "Move Down" buttons to move it up near the
top with other selected items.

As Diamond Geo stated, you can sort by the file extension by using the "Type" column.
See the "How to Change the Column Sort Order" in this tutorial for more on how to
do this.

There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.

So what's your question then?
I'm assuming that you're just letting us know how to do this in Vista....

Thank you SO much!
Why it's buried like that is beyond me!
