Disable Startup Icon

My computer is used only by myself & wife (we're retired). I'm trying to automate
bootup such that she only has to push the power button, go powder her nose, and the
system will boot all the way up, even load IE for her.
However, startup sequence presents two icons (administrator and normal user?) to
me, I must select one before startup continues.
How do I eliminate that step of starting up?

Hi Tom,
This will show you how to logon automatically when you turn the computer on or resume
from a sleep mode.
http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/66966-logon-automatically.html
If you want Internet Explore (IE7) to startup automatically for you as well when
Vista starts, then you can add IE7 to the startup programs list.
If you have 64 bit Vista, then the path is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
If you have 32 bit Vista, then the path is:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
This will show you how to add it to the startup programs list.

You shouldn't be seeing 'Administrator' on the welcome screen. If you go into control
panel and click on User Accounts, how many are displayed?
To make the machine logon automatically, you need get a run box up and type control
userpassswords2 and hit enter (vista has removed the run box from the menu by default,
so if you can't see it there just hit the windows key+R key together). This will
bring up user acounts window - with check box - users must enter a username and password
to use this computer. Uncheck the box, Ok it, and you'll be asked for credentials
to use for autologon (if account has no password, just leave password blank). Reboot
and it should logon automatically.

Thank you Steve,
I am glad that you like them.
Tom,
It should be this instead for 32 bit Vista:
If you have 32 bit Vista, then the path is:
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Sorry,
Shawn
