Not enough memory for LAN file copying

Hi Everyone,
Since upgrading from XP to Vista I've been getting "Insufficient Memory to complete
operation" messages when I try to copy large files over my LAN.
I do a lot of Video/work so some of these files range in size from 5GB to 10GB.
I was able to copy such files from one PC to another with XP with no problems. Even
the speed wasn't too bad.
But with Vista, most of the time when I attempt such copies I get that "Insufficient
Memory" message.
Other times I seem to have enough memory but I get these ominous "Time to complete
32 days 23 hrs 45 min" messages. I let the copies run anyway but after 5-6 hours
with not much change in the ETC I give up.
Note that I have the File Search Indexing service turned OFF. This thing was a useless
hog in XP to I iced it first thing in Vista. Could this be related somehow?
Also my A/V is Kaspersky Internet Security, same program and settings I had in XP
when I was doing large, fast copies.
Has anyone else run into this? Are there settings somewhere in Vista that might
clear this up?
Sorry to take so long with this....
Thanks for your time and have a good day,
Big Al Mintaka
