I have a question about How do I turn off Compressed Folders (built-in support for ZIP files) in Windows Vista and XP?:

I've tried this and it doesn't work. Added/rebooted, zip files still not associated. Any thoughts?

To restore the WindowsZip file integration
Type in Start, Run

REGSVR32 ZIPFLDR.DLL

If that does not help, try another command to change the .ZIP association.
Type in Start, Run:

cmd /c assoc .zip=CompressedFolder
