constant corruption

Having found the way to run chkdsk (see http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winvista/1199455565) - it only took me 3 months - I now find that this machine seems to generate corrupt file structures on a regular basis (about one or two times a week). While I can now fix the file system (see above), it is annoying, and curious. Any ideas why this might be happening, and what I might do to solve it?

Few things could cause this.Hard drive failing, ram going bad,Motherboard. You could
download Memtest .iso and burn it to a cd and boot from it and see if any errors
pop up.Download hard drive diagnostics from the drives Manufacturer and run it to
see if it passes. You will have to look to see what brand you have.

I've run the Memtest, and the Hitachi HD tests, and they all come out with no issues. I've no idea how to run any tests on the motherboard, except for the PC Doctor tests that came with the computer - and it passes all those tests as well. I'm still at a loss as to what is causing all these file system problems, but, since I can fix them (by running chkdsk), and we await sp1, which will change, if not fix, things, maybe just waiting is best.
