Vista Explorer Doesnt See Secondary HDD anymore

My primary drive works fine and vista is running. I use a secondary HDD for backup files. The backup disk is a sata drive that has been working fine as a formatted secondary hdd for months. That is - up until yesterday. This drive is still detected in Bios, Vista Disk Management, and in also in Device Manager. Dev Mgr also says that the driver is up to date. However Vista Explorer does not 'see' the drive at all. And Disk Management doesnt state that the drive is NTSF anymore.

More than likely it died on you.
Try moving it to another PC to see if Windows will see it.
If the other PC does see it then I suggest you burn the data to disk or move it to
an external hard drive very quickly.
Once that is done, put it back in your PC and run the manufacturers diagnostic utility
on it.

Good luck!
