Disable Explorer From Startup?

Can you Disable Explorer From Startup?
I have RocketDock setup and no longer need Explorer clogging up memory when its not
in use.
I've looked everywhere for a solution to this annoyance and can't find one.
I currently have 2 start task manager a kill the process, but thats also annoying.
Windows defender lists Explorer as a startup item but don't give you the option to
stop it running at startup.

Undo all the junk you have already done. Start Explorer, click on "Tools", click
on "Internet Options",
Click on "Programs", use the section on setting the default Browser!
It's Magic.
Also I don't want to sound insulting, as I used to teach people to try things in
the old days. Windows used to be a little more forgiving, but instead of just going
in a clicking on random stuff in the future the two best sources of information is
the "HELP" button and M.S. I have yet to see a problem that they haven't covered.
And of course the good people here are always ready to help. Remember Keep it simple.

your talking about Internet Explorer not Explorer, I think?
I don't use Internet explorer.
I don't want Explorer starting up.
Explorer windows open in separate processes negating the need for it to there all
the time. (with it sys tray and other stuff I don't use)
So if I open MyDoc's for instance an Explorer window will open.
I basically don't want Explorer bar (the thing at the bottom of the screen). this
is want I want to turn off.

The Windows Explorer process is integral to the normal running of any Windows system.
Without it the system cannot write to files (or do many other things) any more than
you can. Windows Explorer is also integral to a host of applications including IE
and RocketDock - it is part of the foundations of Windows.
So there's no point in looking for a way to stop it.

If you're talking about Windows Explorer, you can't turn it off without crippling
the OS, and this has always been the case, including previous versions of Windows.
