STOP error: 0x00000050 appears after login

A STOP error: 0x00000050 appears right after entering my admin account password. The same error appears when logging into my secondary account and also when trying to login through safe mode. What do I do? I tried the recovery CD that came with my GQ PC, but after the PC loads the files from the CD, some strange error appears saying "demo version expired." If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it.

On the STOP error itself, do your symptoms fit this?

On the recovery disk issue, you have to contact GQ.

Yes, the symptoms are the same. The problem is that I can't log into any of the user accounts except "guest" and I can't fix any problem from there.

Can you get into Safe Mode ? If not the simplest route may be to get a replacement CD from GQ.

If you can't get in through safe mode, which would be desirable, you should be able to activate your Administrator account, (which is not the same as identifying your account as having administrator privileges). Info on doing this activation is on the following link. MS hid this account because too many people were creating more problems than they were curring so "Engage Brain" before doing this and using these privileges. http://www.my-pc-help.com/Articles/KnowledgeBase/tabid/147/topic/Active+Admin+Account/Default.aspx
