Just installed Vists 64 bit SP1
Since installation whenever I reboot I get the following error message on start up:
*****WARNING SYSTEM BOOT FAILURE*****
Your last system boot or POST interrupted. Please enter setup to load default and
reboot again.
Press F1 to continue, DEL to enter setup.
Pressing F1 starts the normal boot up and Vista performs as it should- so why the
annoying pause in startup all the time?

The warning is from the motherboards BIOS. Somehow the boot order was changed.
Press the delete key next time and go to the boot order category in the BIOS. Change
the boot order to CD/DVD-ROM first then hard drive second. Disable the rest (if possible).
If you fix the issue, then unplug the tower, then plug the tower back in, and the
warning reappears, then the motherboards BIOS battery is dead. It is replaceable.
Just do a Google search on how to replace it.

Many thanks for your suggestions. Tried it but to no avail. Changing the boot order
does not solve the problem and I would imagine that the motherboard battery is ok
as it's is only one month old since purchase. Do you have any further suggestions
please?

I have just installed another Vista update from thie microsfot webset and since then,
Hey presto, it all works perfectly again. No idea why it should have ficed the error
but it certainly seems to have done so. Many thanks for everyones help.
