Recent items problem

I've tried all the recent items fixes as suggested by Google but they haven't seemed to work. This is a screenshot of the image:
Click here to view it. I'm on Windows Vista Home Edition, without Service Pack 1.

I've tried all the advice but it hasn't worked so far. My Vista has the "Clear Recent Items" when I right click it as soon as it starts up, but after a substantial period of time it becomes what's in the screenshot above.
Anyone able to help me??
All advice appreciated, thanks!

Here's the actual image: http://www.4freeimagehost.com/uploads/e24692065042.jpg Every time I click on recent items it does not give me the option to clear recent items. I'm on Vista Home Edition.
