I am using windows vista home basic, perhaps it takes a very long process in order
to swift from one program to another program meaning, i am using broadband 512Mb
and the system is browsing so slow and further more it also gets hang until need
to restart the pc. kindly guide me thanks.

How much RAM do you have in the machine?
Anything less than 2gb and I would upgrade it to 2gb.

Google, Tweak Vista. This will find a lot of Web sites to help get better performance
by turning off unneeded Vista processes. If You really only have 512 megs of Ram,
then you have a Hardware limitation, and won't be able to improve the performance
by that much,

Also talk to your broadband provider. Often you are sharing your service with others
in your neighborhood who, may be heavy users. You can check this by noticing if it
is consistently slower at certain time s in the day. You may also have something
set wrong in a cable modem or other connecting device provided by them. Sometimes
you can get a dedicated service for slightly more (not a nice thing to hear). The
sales men really lay on the fast talk and lies when trying to get a new customer.
