Hi I was wondering if I could get some help with my problem I've been having lately. The problem is that when ever i try and right click on my desktop to personalize, the window comes up but it quickly goes away. so when i go into the control panel and try to change it from there i get this message: windows cannot find shell:::{26EE0668-A00A-44D7-9971-BEB064C98683}\1\::{ED834ED6-4B5A-4b...\pageWallpaper I would appreciate any help at all thanks.

Have you run one of those registry cleaner/manglers on this machine? You are missing
a couple of important entries!

These entries are "Kind of" static in nature and I can give you what I have, that
you may enter the data to your reg. The problem really is how many other entries
in the Reg. are mangled or gone? You could be chasing this from no to the end of
time. If it was CCleaner that did it does it have a backup built in. If I remember
right it did have such. You can try to restore your registry that way. It's been
a while since I took CCleaner off my machine, so I'm reaching here. Let me know and
if all else fails I can let you copy my reg. entries. This is normally preparatory
to one machine, but these two that you list are rather static in nature, like I prev.
said.

theres the thing i didn't backup my reg because the problem was there before i cleaned it, i don't think Ccleaner is to blame here

Have you tried the Reg restore? If you are not running an OEM version, you can get
MS help that might be able to restore these missing values. I will post the link
bellow.
You can try to enter the info your self, but I offer NO GUARANTEES. Like I said most
of the entry is a static value found on most if not all machines. But if anything
is even the slightest different for your setup it won't make it better and could
make it worse. It's catch 22. I also know of nothing that would wipe the reg entries
from your machine, at least nothing legitimate. You should be able to copy the info
down off a friend or even at a store. This is never recommended, but depending on
what you do or do not have to loose doing a reinstall... Remember these so called
registry Fixers can't add missing info they only wipe out stuff they THINK is bad.
