On booting, I am asked to choose which operating system to use - VISTA or VISTA!
(As far as I can tell, there is no difference between the 2 choices. How can I
skip this annoying screen?

How skilled are you? I will give you three options, from easiest (a program) that
is really easy to use, to hardest MS detailed instructions on how to do it yourself.
