Is this a branded machine and if so is it still under warranty. Then call The Company
for a repair. It could be simple, but probably you have a dead H/D that needs replaced.
If it is not under warranty you need first to look into the BIOS. When the booting
first starts and lists a few things on the screen you need to enter the BIOS. Try
pressing Delete a couple of times or see if they list on that screen how to enter
the BIOS. Also your Manual should tell you something about it. Once you are in look
to the first category on the top left. click that if not already there. this should
list your drives. Look for drives listed hopefully as SATA, but may be under IDA
or ATA. Be careful under those two categories you should also see any CD or DVD devices.
F10 will get you out and don't change anything. let me know what you see listed.
