Services of Microsoft Windows Vista

What is/are the purpose(s) of the following services of Windows Vista? What is/are
their effect(s) when unchecked, disabled, or not running or what consequences will
I be facing when I disable one or more of them? This can be seen under "System configuration
utility" (Start > In search text box, type "msconfig.exe" > Click "Continue" only
when prompted for permission from you for launching "System configuration utility"
> Tab "Services"). If there any other services of Windows Vista, please let me know.
Thank you.

Services of Microsoft Windows Vista

Unless you are told to do so by a RELIABLE source and I'm not talking some computer
junkie that spends his day chatting on the net, Leave the services alone. If you
want a pretty nice list of what services are set to run or not, in any certain situation
I will enclose a link below. There is seldom a need to mess with services. You can
always go get a A+ cert. or MCSE, but to understand and utilize these any better
than they are set up by MS, it's just not going to happen. I have only seen MS tell
a person 2 times in my life to alter them and one those is standard practice for
XP and the other are hardly used and can really trash your update system if you don't
do it right.

While digging through some old references I found the following site that gives a
brief description of the services. This in no way is a complete tutorial, but if
you stay smart document EVERY MOVE YOU MAKE in the services and only work with one
item at a time, giving plenty of time to discover effects, it may help you a little
bit.
