After receiving an email from say 'Argos.co.uk' and attempting to link to the web
site from the text, I receive the error message 'Application not found'. Anyone any
ideas please

Hi Gary,
Thanks for reply. Yes that correct I cannot link to any web address from windows
mail emails. The internet explorer browser does not open and I get the 'application
not found' error msg. Internet explorer opens fine from the desktop icon shortcut.
Regards Roy

Roy,
It sounds as though your "Defaults" havent been set.
Have a look in Control Panel, Defaults, Default Programs.
Click on Internet Explorer and "Set this program as default".

Hi Gary,
Thanks for that. Yes you were correct. Only 3 of 9 defaults were set. After selecting
all of the defaults I am now able to link ok from the emails. So this has solved
the problem. I have recently received some windows updates from Microsoft which included
an update to IE7, so that might have been the reason for my problem. Thanks again
Roy
