Just got a new vista system replacing XP in small office hooked up to internet through netgear router...after about 20 minutes the system disconnects from the internet and will not connect till I reboot the system? Have a 98 box on the same router and it stays connected all the time???? any idea's??

Check to see if the router might have updated drivers AND firmware that will make
it Vista compatible. Also check to see if it is set to go to sleep "to save power"
in the power settings. By the way turning off or any other messing around with 'Autoleveling'
probably won't do anything other than disable properties that actually help with
you web use. Also is this other machine connected when this happens. It might be
the culprit stealing focus and not releasing the router or modem. There is a completely
new TCP/IP setup being introduced and older equipment does often fail when using
these newly modified protocols.
