I believe there is no way for your wireless card not to detect all broadcasted signals.
If the other connections affects your own, I suggest you do the following:
1. Under Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center, Click Connect To
2. Right Click On Your Connection
3. Go To Connection Tab
4. Uncheck "Connect To A More Preferred Network If Available"
5. Make Sure That "Connect Automatically When This Network Is In Range" Is Checked.
You Then Rather Would Want To Right Click On The Other Broadcasted Signals And Uncheck
"Connect Automatically When This Network Is In Range"
