Dual Boot W/XP Blue Screen Error

I have Vista Home Premium installed on my master HD, and want to install XP Pro as
a dual boot with XP.
When I try to boot up with the XP full-install disc, it loads to the point of "starting
windows" and then, at this point, it goes to a blue error screen.
It says; 'A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage
to your computer.", it also gives the following codes...*stop: 0X0000007B (0XF78DA63C,
0XC0000034, 0X00000000, 0X00000000)
Any ideas how to fix this so I can install XP?
I have a slave drive in the computer, and both HD's are SATA drives.
Thanks in advance for the help.

I'm assuming a couple of things:-)
You have another partition created e.g. d: for your new op sys?
If you have a SATA drive then xp needs a driver for said drive normally installed
by hitting F6 during the boot process.
Otherwise have you also tried installing while pc is up already although it may not
allow it if older op sys is '2nd'can't recall but I've done it the other way around,
which of course you are meant to have older installed first in theory:-)

You didn't say on what drive you want to install the XP.but in any case you need
SATA drivers for it.

I do have a partition for it on the master drive, but didn't know about needing the
drivers for XP.
Sorry for my ignorance, but am I to hit F6 while it is loading the other stuff, before
the shut down with the blue screen?
Also, while researching this issue before posting the original problem here, I read
that the older sys rule doesn't apply with Vista. I trust that is accurate. My second
option, and less preferred, is that I can install XP on the slave drive and jst change
boot order when I want to boot into XP, yes?

I came across this site, and they make it very easy to follow. Unfortunately, I can't
use the info. yet. :) Thanks for the site, and the help though.
