http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y264/ElMarroAfamado/cantdelete-1.jpg it was an mp3 i was downloading....but i think the download was interrupted so i deleted it...but now this file is on my desktop but when i try to delete it i get that message.... the file doesnt have an extension its just like a blank file or whatever.... so i cant delete it because it "doesnt exist" but its still right there and it irks me anyway to get rid of that thing? ...i tried starting in safe mode to delete it but i get the same message, i tried anti virus programs marked it as spyware to delete nothing....i tried a couple file deleter programs but nothing.... through some command in MS DOS PROMPT but nothing the problem is just that no program recognizes the file since it doesnt "Exist" and i cant modify it rename it or anything because it doesnt exist, or hide it nothing but i mean its right there : ( ANY SUGGESTIONS? i really dont want to reformat for that file but its so annoying looking at it every day :(

well the thing is i get that error message when i try to manually delete it by right clicking... or by dragging it to the recycle bin... i cant move it anywhere.... i pretty much cant move it since windows says "the file does not exist" but i mean as you can tell by the pic there is a file right there :(

Try checking the drive for errors. Right-click on the drive, select Properties, and
its in the Tools tab. It mightl not do the check until the next reboot.

After that you should be able to delete it.
