A lot of people seem to be having a problem with the AVG V8. anti-virus software.
If you are running AVG do an un-install in 'SAFE mode' with AVG's special un-install
software and then do a re-install. See if that helps you out. I saw another person
blame it on UAC, but I would find that out of the ordinary. Check your family security
settings. You might have accidentally set them to a highly secure level.

Everything I have read says that the latest AVG update rectifies to problem. I am
assuming that you have checked to the latest update (not just the daily virus updates).
I would contact AVG and ask them if there is a specific patch for this problem or
what else you can do. If yo are running the AVG free and don't have their help desk
privileges I would look into another program. There are a couple of other good ones
out there.
