Hi, I was wondering if someone had any thoughts on this....when I play word whomp
in pogo.com, I noticed that my laptop gets hot fast. Is this because of java running
for the game? Thanks, Genevive

Don't know what word whomp is, but Laptops get hot when the cpu works Hard. Games
can cause that.

Word whomp is a word game, where you unscramble letters to make words. Is there
anything to help the cpu not work so hard? Other than not playing the game? Thanks,
Genevive :)

A poorly coded game can peg the CPU usage unnecessarily as can a poorly coded site,
might be worth trying a different browser to see if it handles the site and application
better. I have seen some cases where a particular online games works better in IE
than firefox or vice versa.

Ok, I currently use mozilla firefox, I'll try IE (which I don't care for) and see
if that changes anything. Thanks, Genevive
