how to corrct installed program with wrong settings

I have windows vista home premium and fully patched, I tried to install mailwasher
6.0 and after installation closed the program, where it came up with a window which
said about the program not being installed with the correct settings and giving two
options, I stupidly chose the keep current settings options and find that the program
doesn't work properly, I've tried uninstalling and rebooting but when I reinstall
the program it doesn't give the options box again and the program still works incorrectly.
I'm guessing there is some hidden file that needs editing so I can start all over
again, so how do I do this?
Many thanks
Paul

load the cd as if your where going to install it, when it opens there should be some
optitions to reinstall, unistall and repair....click repair. You may have to manually
open and run .exe file that way.
