Vista initializing problem

I use Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 with Outpost Security Suite.
The problem I'm facing for a long time is that when I boot up my laptop, sometimes
the system hangs at the 'booting up' Vista screen (with the cursor moving at the
lower side) and at times it logs into Vista desktop but doesnot initialize properly.
I recognize that when the icons donot appear at the notification area of taskbar
and application will be sluggish in starting. I have to then reboot (maybe 2-3 times)
to make the system running normally.
What is wrong with Vista? I tried the Vista boot repair from DVD and it didnot find
anything wrong with the booting.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance
