Using cd/dvd in desktop and laptop

Sorry, my heading was wrong on my previous question. Also, I'm entitled to a free
upgrade Windows 7. How hard would it be for an amateur to install this. The Geek
Squad wants me to have them do it.

Your Heading (actually Subject) doesn't match your content this time either.
It's hard to figure out what it is that you really want.

Running the Upgrade is easy enough, but on Laptop you will have problems with some
of the Drivers the Microsoft OS doesn't install. Things like Wireless, and Wired
Network Cards, Modems, Video Display, Battery Power Settings, Sound, Touch Pad, and
other proprietary Hardware the Laptop may Have.
I say try it though, the worse
that can happen is you get frustrated, and have to take it in to get finished. You
never learn how to do this stuff without trying.

Thanks for the advice. I do like a challenge but I hate messing the computer up.

Sorry I screwed up. I'll try and get my heading and content straight so it won't
be so confusing.
