It must be simple for me to do. My system restore locks up. Using it because after trying to install printer computer has gone crazy. Will not uninstall item such as driver for that printer that would not install right. Nothing shows on virus check or anything else I have run to check computer but it just locks up. My age is 65 so make it simple not into a lot of this new age stuff. I can check email surf but that is about all now that this unit is locking up.

Let us know the exact steps you are taking when you use System Restore, and exactly what happens - all of the things that happen, not just the eventual "locking up". "Locking up" itself can mean all sorts of things so please describe that too. Have you used System Restore before ? Silly question, but are you leaving the PC long enough to complete System Restore and the subsequent reboot it does ?

O.K. when I first noticed problems I had downloaded HP printer and it would not download all the way. So after trying for some time I took disk out and took it back to wal mart. Then I tried to delete it out of system and it would not even start to delete. System would still go to internet and I could surf and email but it would still appear on screen as a disk turning. I could get it off screen but knew it was still in system. Next a poker site I play at updated and parts of it was showing as running but I could not log in. So I tried to restore and it would not work. I then put unit in safe mode and took it back with restore to three months earlier and after several attempts it finally restored and now I can get on internet but I know it is not right and may not still delete items if I try. Thats all I know. Thanks

So I took it back to Wal Mart and tried to take it out of system but that part would not start up either. So nothing I tried to delete would start. Next I had and update from a poker site I play at and it would show working on screen but would not log in. So finally last night I got system into safe mode and took it back three months and it is working but not sure it is going to stay working. I keep getting a java update that I have not loaded can you tell me what java does not sure it may have caused the problem. I know system is not all right but at least I can get on line to post this. Any help would be apprecaited. Thanks
