If you did a fresh install/restore and it still does it on both firefox and IE then I suspect the problem is with your router, modem or ISP. Your router and modem should both have a reset pinhole on the back somewhere so I would use that first, that will reset them to their factory state so write down any settings you need to first. The other four computers in the house work just fine. I have one on XP, two on Vista and one on Windows 7 Starter. It seems my problem is totally confined to my laptop.
