Unload debugger error message Cannot run MS Flt Sim X because of the above error message. Have done all the suggested steps in the MS KB and a previous post in this forum for XP to no avail. I am using Vista SP2 and using MS Security Essentials, and Threatfire. I tried As Aware (free) and it detected the following: Name: RogueAntiSpyware.CoreguardAntivirus2009 Type: Registry Level: HIGH RISK Location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Shell Extensions\Approved\{5E2121EE-0300-11D4-8D3B-444553540000} It was not detected by scans with the other security programs. Out of ideas. Help appreciated. SaberJim

Try Malwarebytes anti-malware it is much better than Adaware which is largely irrelevant
 these days.

Went through KB 812759 proceedure. Drivers up to date and don't have the Audigy card. Original post incorrect in that the problem occurs with FS 2004 and not FSX, Thanks, SaberJim
