There is no box to check off to disable LOW DISK SPACE icon.
You have to use regedit and go to:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer NoLowDiskSpaceChecks
REG_DWORD 1
and make sure there is:
NoLowDiskSpaceChecks
which is a REG_DWORD and change the value to 1.
This worked for me.
